Hull Design:

Hull of Rigid hulled inflatable boats are designed in a V shape, some of them are in what we call a deep V, others in a shallow V and some in an all round shape which combines a deep V hull shape at the boat which flattens out to present a broad planning pad.

For professional users, we highly recommend the Deep V hull as they cut through the waves allowing the boat to have a better performance. OCM’s hull is a deep V hull with reverse U chines design which is a unique type of hull allowing for extreme sea navigation with precise turning capabilities guaranteeing outperformance to other RHIBs.

Tube:

Tube also called sponsons are built with chambers with valves. The more chambers a boat has, the more redundancy a boat is considered to have because if one chamber gets damaged, it doesn’t affect the rest of the boat as much. These chambers are usually filled with air and the valve is there to add or remove air. These tubes can be made from Hypalon, PVC and PU.

For professional users, we highly recommend tubes made out of Hypalon which is the highest quality material that is heavy duty, abrasion resistant, easy to repair and increase the life of your boat. For the chambers, depending on the use of the boat, we recommend the Hyb Foam technology used by OCM which is made of closed cells foam memory, really making your boat unsinkable.

Custom-designed:

We highly recommend Rigid Inflatable Boats that can be custom-designed to your mission or operation needs rather than opting for a standard off-the shelf Rigid Inflatable Boat which will not properly meet your boating needs. When you are able to choose what hull and tube material you want to use, what accessories do you need on the boat, what seating arrangements is preferable, what engine type you require and if amphibious capabilities are something to consider, it really makes all the difference when you are out on the water in tough sea conditions and you wish you had a certain configurations that would help you carry your mission.
