If you love the water, these are the places to be!
There’s nothing we love more than being out on the water. So it’s no surprise that over 140 million people share that sentiment and are choosing boating as an escape from the routine of their every day lives. Children, adults and elderly – everyone loves it, and why not! It is a great way to unwind and let go of your daily cares, for a little while at least. And whether you’re in the mood for some sporty fun, or a spot of fishing or snorkelling, a cooling swim, or just the gentle bobbing of the water as you contemplate life mysteries under the vast skies, there’s that perfect location for everyone. So we’ve rounded up some of our favourite boating spots, just for you. All you have to do it gear up and get out on there!
The Keys, Florida
Stretching from the very tip of Florida into the Gulf of Mexico, The Florida Keys, dotted with thousands of barely seen islands and beautiful reefs, offer the ultimate boating experience on the East Coast. And there’s plenty to do as you spend your days in the golden sunshine of this tropical paradise: fishing, snorkelling, wake-boarding and water-skiing. Don’t forget to catch the spectacular sunsets, which are said to be the best in the US.

Benton County, Arkansas
Located in ‘The Natural State’, Benton County was a well kept secret for years. This family favourite spot offers channels and forested coastlines to explore, as well as clear water to fish in. There are 12 parks in the area with all the amenities for camping out. It is a great spot for fishing, paddleboarding, swimming, and communing with nature.

Crater Lake, Oregon
Crater Lake is located at the base of the Cascade Mountains, and is the deepest freshwater lake in the USA and one of the deepest in the world. It is also surrounded by some of the most beautiful sights in the world with sweeping mountain vistas all around. It’s also a great spot for fishing, swimming, hiking and camping out, making it an idyllic spot for family getaways.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Fort Lauderdale is a boater’s paradise with over 300 miles of waterways and a 100 marinas! It offers beautiful beaches begging to be played on, world-class fishing, and gorgeous coral reefs that invite you to dive in. You could simply cruise the waterways, visit the neighbouring everglades and indulge in some wildlife watching, or take off to Miami or the Bahamas for a quick little jaunt. The city is also home to the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, one of the largest boat shows in the world.

Lake Tahoe, California
One of the most famous lakes in the world, Lake Tahoe straddles the border of California and Nevada, and is a popular vacation destination. So what will you find here? Gorgeous views for miles, sandy beaches, and a sense of tranquility that you’d be hard pressed to find elsewhere. It’s a great spot for camping, fishing, swimming, and parasailing. And if you happen to crave a bit of city life as well, there are many spas and restaurants to take care of it.
