“This new SAR boat drastically increases our capabilities from the small inflatable boat that we were using. We often found ourselves unable to respond due to response distance or weather conditions. After seeing how the new boat handles in very rough seas during our manufacturer’s training at time of delivery, we are confident we will be able to not only respond safely and quickly but successfully carry out theses missions”, stated Chief Joe Bertler of the Suamico Fire Department.
