Ocean Craft Marine will be bringing to the FDIC an Amphibious Search and Rescue (SAR) Boat that was custom designed and built for the North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad, Water Rescue Team.
This 7.1M SAR Amphibious (AMP) Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) represents the industry’s latest innovations in high-performance search and rescue RHIB designs as well as providing for an amphibious rescue operations. The vessel integrates many features that provide for a very successful multi-mission capable platform. The vessel has a Hypalon pneumatic collar, featuring twin diver-recovery notches, a hinged/folding T-Top, mission-modular and re-configurable shock-mitigating seating custom built by Shockwave Seat®, advanced navigation and communications electronics to include FLIR® thermal imagery.
The OCM 7.1 SAR AMP is powered by a single Mercury Marine Verado® 250 Pro Outboard Motor, controlled by Mercury Marine’s Digital Throttle Shift (DTS) Control Binnacle while also using Mercury’s Vessel View system to monitor the engine and fuel systems.
“We are proud to have been selected as the boat-builder for the North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad. This Amphibious SAR boat has greatly decreased response times and the overall safety of the responding crews. The North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad commissioned the boat in August of 2022, and the boat and crew have already successfully performed countless search and rescue missions,” said David Haines, OCM’s Sales Manager of the Americas.
